Neighbors Max and John have been feuding for most of their lives. Invigorated by their shared affection for their new neighbor, they face off as romantic rivals until their hilarious shenanigans finally bring about a resolution to their longstanding differences. Based on the 1993 film, this stage adaptation captures the lovably crotchety characters through twinkling humor and great songs.
Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre has been serving up food, fun and fabulous live entertainment for everyone since 1973. The theatre was part of a chain of dinner theatres built by Louisville contractor J. Scott Talbott. It was called "Beef" because of the delicious hand carved roast beef served before the performances, and "Boards" referring to the boards or stage of a theatre.
Doug Stark and Bob Zehr purchased the three locations in the late 70’s and after operating for a few years sold the Ohio and Kentucky location to focus their energy on building a successful theatre in the Indianapolis, IN area.
Today, the Indianapolis location is privately owned by Doug Stark and his three children, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Josh, and the sole remaining Beef & Boards Dinner Theatre, entertaining more than 130,000 theatergoers annually.
Each season includes professional Broadway shows with a variety of new shows and classic favorites loved by audiences young and old.
