Derby Dinner Playhouse is proud to be one of the oldest and largest continually operating professional dinner theatres in the country. For over 50 years the theatre has served the Southern Indiana region and Kentucky by reaching out to more than three million people. Derby Dinner opened in 1974 under the general management of Carolyn Thomas. In 1985, Thomas opted to purchase the Indiana dinner theatre with partner Bekki Jo Schneider, and in the last 40 years attendance has grown to over 200,000 patrons per year with over 10,000 season subscribers. The theatre is currently run by Cynthia Knopp, General Manager & Co-Owner and Tina Jo Wallace, Producing Artistic Director.
